Nestled along the Connecticut River in Whately, 5J Creamee & Farmstand has been a quiet staple of the valley for generations. What started as a small farm stand selling surplus from the land has grown into a destination for anyone who believes food tastes better when it hasn't traveled far.

Every pint of ice cream is churned on-site using techniques handed down through the family. Every vegetable, every jar, every bundle comes from growers we know by name — or from our own soil. This isn't a philosophy we adopted. It's just how we've always done it.

Hand-Churned Ice Cream

Small-batch ice cream made daily with local cream and real ingredients. Flavors change with the seasons — from classic vanilla bean to bold strawberry-rhubarb.

Seasonal Produce

Picked at peak ripeness and on display by the hour. Tomatoes in August, apples in October, sweet corn in July — whatever the land is giving right now.

Farm Pantry

Artisan preserves, fresh eggs, honey from local hives, maple syrup, and other shelf-stable goods sourced from neighboring farms you can trust.

Community Gatherings

Our stand is more than a shop — it's a meeting place. School events, farm tours, and seasonal celebrations bring the valley together all summer long.
